The new year card is designed for the "100 designers' new year card exhibition Vol.16" held by Takeo paper company of Japan. 2021 is the year of the Ox in the Chinese lunar calendar. The designer made 2021 typeface with cow pattern and hot stamped it on three colors of washed kraft paper. Because the pronunciation of the Chinese character "牛 (nju) "is the same as the “New ”in English, happy new year is replaced by happy 牛 Year on the envelope.
